While working at a Financial Services company, he discovered affiliate marketing. His company had setup an affiliate program as part of their Internet marketing strategy. Initially, he didn't fully understand how affiliate marketing worked, and failed to recognize how much money could be made as an affiliate.

He started researching affiliate marketing further and discovered that thousands of online merchants, including big names like Wal Mart®, Home Depot®, and Yahoo® had affiliate programs. He found out that merchants were paying millions of dollars every month in commissions to their affiliates.

It was at this point that he decided to try affiliate marketing for himself. He added a few affiliate links and banners to an online dating site that he'd built. Within a few days he was earning commissions from online dating services like Match.com®, Yahoo® Personals, and eHarmony®.

After seeing success with his online dating site, he decided to start building more affiliate websites in different industries. Within two months he was making more money from his affilliate websites than he was at his day job. Within six months hw was making twice as much, so he decided to quit his day job and focus exclusively on his affiliate business.

In his first year as an affiliate he was able to earn a six figure income from his websites. During his second year as an affiliate he made over a million dollars!
